lauren + joe engagement session | ybor city | tampa, florida
Sometimes heading to a shoot in a thunderstorm can be nerve-racking, especially when all your plans are to shoot outside on the street of Ybor City. Lauren was determined to get Joe out and get my cameras soaked. Luckily, the second we arrived the clouds parted and let the money light slip through and highlight the slick cobblestone streets.
Ybor is a visual playground – practically every wall, corner, and bench can be a potential shooting location and sometimes it’s just a matter of seeing it different and let the light control the shoot. I literally dragged these two around corner to corner playing with pockets of light when we could snag it and they took it like champs. In the end, we got some photos that were 180 degrees different then what I planned, but that’s the best part of this gig. The little visual surprises.
I’ll be shooting their wedding in Clearwater this October and can’t wait…congrats you two!
