kelsey + ryan’s wedding | siesta key, florida
Most of the time we try to disappear as photographer to get the best photos, but some brides just know where it is at all times.
Kelsey and Ryan got married this weekend just a few yards away from where they got engaged last year on the white sands of Siesta Key. Just a stone’s throw from my house, these guys took full advantage of what this town has to offer. They were blessed with a very beautiful, cloudless sky and perfect sunset as they celebrated in a private house along the beach where I’ve spent many nights chasing that sphere as it dips below the horizon. Their beautiful night ended with sparklers and an impromptu crashing of The Beach Club in Siesta Key Village.
Kelsey was stunning in a rip-away dress Lebron James could appreciate. These guys were a lot of fun to work with on their wedding day Saturday and a post-wedding shoot tonight.
Congrats you two on your beautiful marriage and many thanks for letting me a small part of it.
P.S. Also big thanks to out friends at Lelu Coffee and California SurfShop for letting us use their space for a couple photos…check them out.

I’ve photographed a few weddings professionally and a few for friends. Ad I have seen a lot of albums of weddings done by others. But Chip Litherland’s work is truly exceptional. His composition work and command of the technical aspects of digital photography are phenomenal. And he does it so unobtrusively that you have to pay attention to notice he is hard at work. Chip worked tirelessly and continually for almost twelve hours from before the wedding ceremony, through the ceremony, the reception and into the night. His work is a beautiful and creative mix of color and B&W which changes the pace a bit which hightens interest and a feeling of old-world charm. Now that I have seen Chip’s work the next time anyone hints for me to take some photographs of their wedding I will now have enough sense to emphatically say no and to recommend them without reservation to Chip.
